Sardinia, blessed with an incredibly sunny climate, is Italy's most undiscovered region. This is one of the most scenic parts of Europe with a beautiful rocky coast, islands everywhere, and the Mediterranean at its most emerald green. Interspersed among the rocks are seductive beaches. Underground temples, ziggurats, mysterious objects and dwellings whose proportions are attributed to a mythological race of giants, honeycomb the land. Today, its people are simple, pure and hardy. You will enjoy meeting them as much as they will you. Its distinctive cuisine and wines are brutally honest yet delicious, and you will relish these as well. You will also discover that pink is the dominant color of Sardinia. Pink sands and flamingoes line the coast just as wild peonies rise at whim throughout the rugged interior. We will also spend a day in Corsica, a department of France, for a look at Bonifacio, built on the top of soaring cliffs. The setting is spectacular. Our guided tour in Sardinia & Corsica is your best way to discover these off-the-beaten track Mediterranean islands.

This fascinating tour brings you the best of Ireland and Scotland. Ireland's capital, Dublin, is the birthplace of writers including Oscar Wilde and Samuel Beckett, and home of Guinness beer. Nicknamed the "Emerald Isle” for its lush landscape of rolling green hills, it’s dotted with castles and ancient sites, such as massive 12th-century Cahir Castle. Scotland is a land of mountain wildernesses such as the Cairngorms and Western Highlands, interspersed with glacial glens (valleys) and lochs (lakes). Edinburgh, the capital, is loomed over by its iconic castle, and Glasgow, is famed for its vibrant cultural scene. Scotland is also the ‘home of golf’, typified by the 16th-century Old Course at St Andrews. This escorted tour promises to be a favorite with Coda travelers. These areas are best seen with professional guides who bring the history, both ancient and modern, to life for you. And the flowers are in bloom this time of year. Join us and discover these countries where so much of American heritage is derived. Also available are the trips to just Ireland or just Scotland if you have been to one but want to see the other with a fun group of guys.

TOKYO | HAKONE | TAKAYAMA | KYOTO
On this exclusive 11-day program across Japan, we journey from cutting-edge Tokyo to the pleasures of nature and a celebrated Japanese inn in the shadow of Mount Fuji at Hakone, explore the traditional life of the Japanese farmer in Takayama, and end— as we must — in splendid Kyoto, the Japan of our imagination. “The charm of Kyoto works slowly and imperceptibly,” wrote Italian photographer Fosco Maraini, “finally emerging as one of the most enchanting places in the world.” Start in Tokyo (NRT); End in Kyoto (Fly out of Osaka Kansai - KIX).
Apulia (also known as Puglia or Le Puglie), the spur of the Italian Boot, is an enchanting region that spreads lengthwise along the sea with marvelous beaches and the rocky, boulder-encrusted Riviera of Otranto and Santa Maria di Leuca, where the calm and crystalline waters of the Ionian Sea mix with those of the intense and azure Adriatic. For history, Apulia offers a wide range of places that testify to the ancient origins of this land: from prehistory to Magna Graecia, from the Imperial Age to the Renaissance and the Baroque splendor of Lecce and of Salento. The trulli, for example those of Valle d'Itria, offer an evocative testimony to the rural past of the region. This is the “other side” of Italy and one you should not miss, even if you have not yet done some of the more traditional destinations. You will marvel at the beauty and sophistication in Apulia.

We’re delighted to have you on board for this journey of discovery to some of the most beautiful islands in the Galápagos. This itinerary will take us to the true origins of the archipelago, to a world only recently created by the titanic tectonic upheavals of our Earth’s crust, whose volcanic hot spot formed the islands in a blink of an eye in geological time. Fernandina Island is regarded as one of the most pristine island environments anywhere in the world, where life has evolved in its natural state, far from the intervention of man. From the west, we venture back to the Central Islands, landing at the intriguing red beach of Rábida and seeking out the land iguanas of Cerro Dragón. On Santa Cruz, we visit the Charles Darwin Research Station and get up close to giant tortoises in their natural environment. In the south, we learn about the Galápagos very own “murder mystery”, spot flamingos and snorkel at one of the best sites in the archipelago: Champion Islet. Back in the Central Islands, we head back to Baltra Island for the flight back to the mainland. You will find all corners of the Galápagos stunning, and they will delight you in different ways. Life aboard La Pinta ship is an absolute delight, with delicious meals savored on deck or in the salon, a glass of wine at sunset, and great talks with our naturalist guide. Rest assured that we and the crew aboard La Pinta will do our utmost to ensure your Galápagos experience is truly deeply moving and memorable.

Combine our two extraordinary trips in two very different parts of the world, yet close by each other. Myanmar is decidedly Southeast Asian and struggling to enter the 21st century after being shut out from the world until the turn of this century. Bhutan has been closed to the world also. TV only arrived in 1999 and smartphones have not yet arrived. How refreshing! You will not want to miss these popular destinations if you are a serious traveler.
Start in Yangon, End in Bangkok.
See mysterious Myanmar (Burma) on a 10-day visit to the cities of Mandalay, the lost temple city of Bagan, the colonial outpost Yangon and the beautiful region of Inle Lake. Seemingly untouched by time, Myanmar is a land of golden pagodas and saffron-robed monks. Myanmar is one of the last must-see places on earth. Golden temples, saffron-robed monks, ancient legends and gracious people - Myanmar holds endless wonders, waiting to be revealed.
Start & End in Yangon.
The mountain kingdom of Bhutan remains one of the old world's last few strongholds against an encroaching modern civilization. In the charmed isolation of the Himalayan heights, Bhutan's ancient and alluring ways of Mahayana Buddhism continue richly intact to this day, and permeate every aspect of Bhutanese life and culture. Our Coda trip visits the highlights of this tiny kingdom and our accommodations are luxurious and often spectacular. Although the trip can be physically challenge (with heights up to 12,000 ft and climbs lasting up to 5.5 hours), our experience has been that everyone can enjoy this trip who is reasonable healthy. This is a unique opportunity to see an authentic part of the world.
Start & End in Bangkok (BKK)
