Begin your adventure with the amazing cataracts at Iguazú Falls. One of the natural wonders of the world. The falls border Brazil and Argentina. Paraguay is not far away. These are the largest waterfalls system in the world. A great way to prepare for seeing the falls is to watch the movie, The Mission, which used Iguazu Falls as it’s backdrop.

Continue to beautiful Buenos Aires, the Paris of the South. For the gay traveler, Buenos Aires has special appeal. We will see all the famous sites from a sexy tango show to the resting place of Evita Peron. Our hotel is the Grande Dame of Buenos Aires – the Alvear Palace. Then we are off to Patagonia and its spectacular beauty. Bariloche is located on the edge of Lake Nahuel Huapi and is often compared to Switzerland. Depart the USA on any regularly scheduled flight to Buenos Aires, Argentina.

THU JAN 10 • Arrive in Buenos Aires to Iguazú Falls

Upon arrival, you will be met and transferred to the domestic airport for the flight to Iguazú Falls.

Upon arrival in Iguazú, transfer to The Loi Suites for the next two nights.

Immersed in the Iryapú Jungle surrounding Iguazú Falls, the Loi Suites is an exclusive 5-star hotel built with maximum respect for nature, surrounded by magnificent trees and impressive wild life.

Day 3

FRI JAN 11 • Iguazú Falls

Today we cross to the Brazilian Falls. Walk along the path following the cascades and then along the catwalk that leads very close to the bottom of Devil’s Throat. Enjoy lunch before returning to the Argentine side. Tour the Devil’s Throat on the Argentine side of the Falls. As a special treat, will board an adventure boat for a high-speed ride for a wet and mighty encounter with Iguazú Falls!

SAT JAN 12 • Iguazú Falls to Buenos Aires

Fly back to Buenos Aires today and transfer to the hotel, Alvear Palace, which is located in the chic Recoleta District and within walking distance of many upscale stores, restaurants, and boutiques.

In the evening, enjoy a Tango Rojo dinner show at the sophisticated Faena Hotel. This Cabaret is designed by Philippe Starck and brings back nostalgic times with the strength of an extraordinary show full of fantasy and sensuality.

SUN JAN 13 • Buenos Aires City Tour

Today visit the oldest cemetery in Buenos Aires, the Recoleta Cemetery and final resting place of Eva Duarte, known as Eva Perón (Evita). Follow with a visit to the Evita Museum, devoted to the life, work, beliefs and values of María Eva Duarte de Perón.

In the afternoon, drive through the district of Palermo with its beautiful parks and artificial lakes. The City Zoo, the Botanical Garden of Buenos Aires, the Argentine Horse Track and National Polo Fields are all located in this area. Also visit one of the trendiest neighborhoods in Buenos Aires, Palermo Soho & Palermo Hollywood, bursting with design boutiques and restaurants.

San Telmo is the best kept historical neighborhood and oldest district of Buenos Aires. Here we will have time to stroll around Plaza Dorrego, where the atmosphere is purely Porteño (the essence of the people of Buenos Aires). See some wonderful open-air shows, hear some veteran tango singers, and buy something truly unique at the most interesting attraction the city of Buenos Aires has to offer, the San Telmo Antique Fair. Today you will get an idea of what the culture of Buenos Aires is all about.

MON JAN 14 • Buenos Aires of Yesterday

Today discover 3 architectural icons of Old Buenos Aires. First, a guided tour of the Teatro Colón, one of the world’s best-known opera houses and the cultural pride of the city. Afterward, continue to El Ateneo Grand Splendid, one of the biggest bookstores in South America. Located in the ritzy Recoleta neighborhood, El Ateneo originally housed the Teatro Grand Splendid and hosted shows by tango singers Carlos Gardel and Ignacio Corsini. Continue to Avenida de Mayo, the last stop, at the famous Café Tortoni, the most traditional café in Buenos Aires, and the oldest literati café.

TUE JAN 15 • Buenos Aires to San Carlos De Bariloche

This morning fly to San Carlos de Bariloche. Upon arrival, transfer to the Llao Llao Hotel. San Carlos de Bariloche is situated in the Andean foothills and can be compared to the Swiss Alps for its beauty. Situated on the southern shore of Lago Nahuel Huapi, Bariloche is the most important town in the area and the best departure point to explore the lakes, forests and snow-capped mountains. Tour the town and surroundings this afternoon including a chair lift to the summit of Campanario hill at 3,444 feet.

WED JAN 16 • Excursion to Villa La Angostura

Today’s excursion travels north by Manzano Port and arrives at Villa La Angostura. Once you leave the village behind, you will be on the Camino de los Siete Lagos, or Seven Lakes Road surrounded by an endless panorama of natural beauty. Enjoy lunch here before returning to Bariloche.

Day 9

THU JAN 17 • The Lake Crossing: San Carlos De Bariloche to Puerto Varas

Today we have a busy day and an early departure as we cross the Andes and go from Argentina to Chile. First, cross the Nahuel Huapi Lake on a catamaran. Then transfer to a motor ship and sail the Frías Lake and have the first splendid view of Tronador Hill.

Proceed through lush Andean vegetation to the Vicente Pérez Rosales pass and enter Chile. From the border, it is only a short ride to Peulla where we stop for lunch. Then board the Lagos Andinos Catamaran and set out to cross the waters of the Todos Los Santos where there are views of Mount Puntiagudo and the impressive Osorno volcano. Arrive at Petrohué, and continue to the Petrohue rapids. At the end of this long day we will find ourselves in Puerto Varas.

FRI JAN 18 • Puerto Varas to Santiago de Chile

After breakfast, transfer from the airport in Puerto Montt to fly to Santiago de Chile and transfer to the hotel. Enjoy the rest of the day at leisure. In the evening, we have a farewell dinner at the popular Como Agua Para Chocolate restaurant or similar.

SAT JAN 19 • Santiago, Chile. Fly to USA.

In the morning, we will have a city-tour of Santiago and La Alameda, Santiago’s colorful main avenue in the heart of the city. On the way, see the Chilean University, the San Francisco Church and the Santa Lucia Hill. Visit the Pre-Columbian Museum, the Plaza de Armas and see the Santiago Metropolitan Cathedral. To round off the tour, pass through the modern residential areas of the city with their daring architecture and, finally, the bustling Providencia shopping zone.

In the evening, transfer to the airport for your flight home.

Travel Documents

VISAS: No visas are required to enter Argentina and Chile for US or Canadian passport holders. A visa is required for entry to Brazil with the optional pre-trip to Iguazú Falls. You will need to obtain the Brazilian visa before traveling by visiting the Embassy of Brazil website. You will also need an immigration form filled out upon arrival. You must retain this form to hand back to immigration officials when you depart the country.


The Center for Disease Control recommends travelers be up-to-date on routine vaccines including measles-mumps-rubella (MMR), diphtheria-tetanus-pertussis, varicella (chickenpox), and polio vaccine.

Please note that Zika is a risk in Argentina. Travelers should strictly follow steps to prevent mosquito bites and sexual exposure to the Zika virus during and after the trip.


All departures are guaranteed on a minimum of 8 participants. A Coda Representative will accompany a tour that has a minimum number of participants. This tour can be operated as a Private Tour and can be customized and repriced based on the final itinerary. For fewer than 8 participants, rates may need to be revised.
